My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Before you read any further, you need to know 2 things about Charlie. First, Charlie is a girl despite being named Charlie…short for Charlene perhaps? We’re not sure and Charlie’s not talking, which is ironic given she is quite the conversationalist! Second, Charlie only has 8 of her 9 lives left. A Good Samaritan rescued Charlie off the streets as a stray and left her at the Humane Society. Unfortunately, the Good Samaritan had placed Charlie in a box that didn’t provide her with enough ventilation on a hot Phoenix day…she had overheated and her life was in danger. Happily, thanks to the medical staff at the Humane Society Charlie came through with flying colors, none the worse for wear other than losing 1 of her 9 lives.

Charlie is a purr machine. She will give you sweet head butts and will purr like a motor boat! She also loves her meals and will do the cutest “hungry” dance that consists of her standing on her hind legs and doing a little jig as you carry her food dish over to her. It’s the funniest thing to watch because she can do her dance for longer than you would think!

Charlie loves playtime and in particular loves wand toys, be it feather wands, swizzle wands, or some other type of wand. She engages the wand toy with such enthusiasm that it is not only fun for her to partake in playtime; it is fun for you to watch her partake in playtime!

This beautiful, sweet, talkative kitty is looking forward to the next chapter of her life where she can enjoy having your full attention for the many conversations and play times you’ll have together. Life with Charlie will never be boring and never be lonely – she is a true companion that will most certainly make your life complete!
