Fulton's Story...
Meet Fulton and Bear!! Fulton was picked up close to the Atlanta airport on…FULTON Street! He was so skinny and starved when he got to the shelter and then on top of that he got very sick with an upper respiratory infection and he lost even more weight. He was so sick that he wouldn’t even eat canned dog food when we were testing him! But that did not stop him from being a happy go lucky little bag of bones!! In the short week that he’s been at the Jail, he’s already started to put on weight and he’s such a sweetheart!! Fulton’s handlers name is Desmond, but he goes by “Bear.” Bear and Fulton are quite the pair! Bear promises to do everything he can to fatten little Fulton up and is giving him lots of peanut butter-stuffed Kongs and extra treats. As soon as you sit down next to Fulton he climbs directly into your lap and gives you a giant hug and kiss!! Fulton is around a year old and we are guessing that he’s got some Boxer in him and maybe Rhodesian Ridgeback and German Shepherd. Who knows!! But what we do know is that he is a sweet, sweet boy. He currently weighs about 40 pounds, but we are hoping to help him gain about 10 more pounds. After an 8 week basic training at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta, GA, Fulton will receive his CGC Certification and will be available for adoption. Get your applications in early because this sweet dog won’t last long!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fulton, a Atlanta Boxer/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Atlanta, or seeking a Boxer/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Atlanta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Atlanta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Atlanta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Boxer/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Atlanta paves the way for another one to be saved.
