My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Peanut and I am a 12 week old, 1 pound and 10 ounce longhaired Chihuahua. I look like a wind-up toy, and act like one, too, when I run across the floor and stop to make a 108 degree turn to chase my toys.

I am called a "Teacup" size and will probably max out around 5 pounds when I am fully grown. Because I am so small, I really should not be in a home with kids younger than about 10 years because I am very fragile and could get hurt if someone dropped me or stepped on me. I eat several meals every day to keep healthy, and my foster mom even puts out a little food for me at bedtime so I can have a snack if I wake up in the middle of the night.

I have been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and am taking all the necessary medications to protect me from fleas (yuck) and heartworms (double yuck!!). My adoption fee is $300.
