Jake's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Jake's Story...
Jake was surrendered by his owner due to restrictions on how many pets they could have at their home. He has been much loved throughout his life, and he is a lovable boy once he gets to know you. Jake is shy and will need an adopter who can help him blossom.

Jake is about 3 years old and weighs 28 pounds. He has been dieting since arriving at his foster home and has now lost his "baby fat". Jake has been neutered, microchipped and is up-to-date on vaccines. He is heartworm negative and is currently on heartworm and flea preventative. Jake does have mild dry eye and requires drops once a day to manage the condition.

Our online application can be accessed at: http://goo.gl/OcyDjh. Please note that we do not "ship" our dogs and generally do not adopt to applicants more than 3 hours/200 miles from Memphis.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jake, a Memphis Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Memphis, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Memphis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Memphis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Memphis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Memphis paves the way for another one to be saved.
