Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tess is an approximately 2 year old border collie. She is a lovely, delicate little thing, weighing about 35 pounds.
Tess was a stray at a shelter in rural southern Idaho, so not much is known about her life before coming into foster care.
Tess loves to fetch and since she requires daily exercise, this is a great way to help her get it. She brings the ball all the way back and will toss it at your feet. If it's not close enough for you to reach, just let her know and she will bring it in closer for you.
Tess is housetrained and her foster mom says she has wonderful house manners. She icrate trained and rides well in the car. She loves people and is very affectionate with humans. We do not know how Tess is around children or cats.
Tess is uncomfortable in new situations and she becomes nervous. This includes outings like going to the veterinarian. She does not like to be left outdoors for long periods of time unless you are with her, but she doesn't try to escape and is fine with a 4 foot high fence.
Tess does not like other dogs in her face. For this reason we feel she would be best as an only dog or with one or two other male dogs. She is also not a candidate for dog parks or events with a lot of dogs in attendance.
She is currently living with a female German shepherd and several male dogs of various herding breeds. She is doing well in this situation, but her foster brothers and sister know to give her space.
Here is a short video showing Tess interacting with her foster brother:

Tess' adoption fee is $150. This includes spay, vaccinations, microchip, collar and ID tag.
