My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wesley is a 1 ½ year old neutered male border collie. His nickname is Chubbie because of the cute little pudge he was as a puppy.

This is a very nice dog with no issues. He is a very happy dog and that happiness is contagious! Wes is housetrained and crate trained, is good with children, good with other dogs and is curious with cats. He has shown potential as a dog that can go on trail rides with his human on horseback and was in the process of learning before his previous owner became injured.

Please note: This is a purebred border collie and needs daily exercise and/or mental stimulation. It’s a must. That is why Wes is looking for a new home. His previous owner used to be a runner and shattered her ankle recently and is not able to give Wesley the exercise he has been used to. She is also gone from the home for 10 hours a day while at work. Wesley is starting to show destructive behaviors because of this…like digging in the yard and chewing things if left alone for 9-10 hours.

So if you are an active person or family and looking for a real deal border collie, this dog might be for you. He shows potential for agility or other dog sports, and would be a great farm chore or take-to-work dog.
