Lucky's Story...
Lucky is a male Dalmatian/lab mix who was born about 5/2014. Lucky is current on heartworm prevention, neutered and up to date on shots. Lucky was rescued by a kind hearted person who saw him in the neighborhood being bullied by neighborhood kids. The good samaritan found lucky's "owner" who had the mother(Dalmatian) and didn't want Lucky or his sibilings because they were mixed, dad was a lab. The other siblings had already dissappeared. The good samaritan brought lucky home, but can't keep him so we are in search of a great home for him. Can you be it? He is great with other dogs and loves to play.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucky, a Baton Rouge Dalmatian/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dalmatian/Labrador Retriever for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Dalmatian/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dalmatian/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Dalmatian/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
