My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chanel and her sisters came to us after being born to a stray cat. Unfortunately, when they were only 4 weeks old, their mother was hit by a car & killed. The kittens were lucky enough to have been found in the bush, and although they were very skinny & cold from being on their own for a few days, they have been doing very well since they've been in care. Since they were born in the bush, the kittens weren't used to being handled by humans until they came to us, so they were very timid & shy. Although they have come a long way since then, Chanel still prefers to keep all 4 of her feet on the ground. She is happy to sit next to you on the couch, and she will purr the second she's pet, but she's not a big fan of being picked up.

Although miss Chanel appears to be a black cat in her photo, she has a white stripe going down her back, just like a skunk! It's difficult to see in the photo, but it's quite unique.

Chanel really loves to play with her sisters and will do well in a home with one of them, or where there is another pet for her to play with. Although she's hasn't yet met a dog, she'll likely adjust to being around cat-savvy dogs if introduced properly. She has not yet had any experience with children, but would probably prefer an adult household, or one with older kids. Since she's not comfortable being picked up, she wont be the ideal pet for a child who is looking for a kitty to play with & carry around.
