Moe's Story...
You’ve all heard the commercial with that catchy jingle: “Gotta go to Moe’s!” Well, I’m Moe, and you’ve got to come to meet me at FOHA. When you and I make acquaintance, we’re sure to become fast friends. When I make a new human friend, I tend to ask that person for lots of pets – I’ll flop right over and rub up against you. If your attention strays from the important petting at hand, I may follow you to remind you that I’m there and ready for more pets whenever you are! I used to have a home, but my elderly owners were both in poor health. I tried to keep them cheery with my silly antics, like running and racing through the house. I am also an exceptional lap cat. So, please excuse my re-writing of that commercial ditty to meet my situation – I sing, “Gotta meet Moe and take him home!”

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Moe, a Aldie Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
