Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet sweet Hillie (a.k.a. Hill Billie)! She is a very loving and playful girl and adores everyone she meets! Hillie is a small pit mix weighing approximately 35 lbs. She's about 2 years old, spayed, up to date on all vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. She is also crate trained and house trained so she's ready to become the next furry member of a loving family!
Hillie came from a high kill shelter in GA where she was scheduled to be euthanized. Luckily we were able to step in to save her life and help find her a loving forever home. Hillie is really great and playful with other dogs and has done very well with people of all ages. She even is great with cats, too! She had a torn ligament in her right knee, but she underwent surgery in December to have it repaired. This hasn't slowed her down one bit and she remains the happiest and most friendly dog you'll ever meet!
Our adoption process begins with you meeting Hillie. Feel free to schedule a play date with her and your existing dog(s). After you fill out an application, we will verify your references and do a brief home inspection. If all goes well, we will deliver Hillie to you for a small adoption fee. You will also have the option to purchase a large wire kennel for an additional fee. We then ask that you sign our adoption contract. We will do a follow-up visit approximately two weeks to one month after the adoption to insure that Hillie is adjusting well to her new home and that she is happy and healthy.
We feel our adoption process is the best way to vet good owners and to guard against people seeking dogs for dog fighting, bait dogs, and/or dog sales. We only have our rescue dogs' best interest in mind and we do everything we can to insure that they go to the very best home and that it's the perfect fit.
If you are interested in meeting Hillie, please contact Robert or Amanda with Happy Landings Animal Rescue.
