Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jaxson (was Thor) is a 2 1/2 year old harlequin male with natural ears. Jaxon came back to MAGDRL when his owner was scheduled for surgery and will no longer be able to care for him. He is probably one of the sweetest guys you will ever meet. Jaxson takes time to warm up to people but once he does, he becomes glued to that person. When we first picked him up he wouldn't make eye contact and wouldn't wag his tail but after a week he had come out of his shell. He is a very low energy guy, a 5-10 minute romp outside once daily is more than enough exercise. He weighs about 120 lbs. and is extremely tall. He is clumsy and knocks into things all the time. He is a bit of a bull in a china shop. He doesn't like to be kenneled and is left alone for 4-6 hours at a time with no problems. He would do best with a family that doesn't leave him alone for lengthy periods of time every day. He is a MAJOR counter surfer and will pull both food and non-food items to the floor. We are working with him on this. He also likes to pace, it seems to calm him and usually after a few minutes he will settle. The longer he is with us the less he paces. Jaxson loves other animals, large and small dogs, cats and children. He enjoys his foster brother and sisters and looks to them for comfort but doesn't like to rough house or play too much. He will only be placed in a home with another dog, not in a home where he will be the only dog. He is fine with the litter of foster kittens in the household and the cats but accidentally runs them over all the time. Big dog savvy cats and little dogs would be fine with him. Jaxson He does take a Pepcid once daily for heartburn but is really easy to give the pill to in either food or just pop it in his mouth. He loves riding in the car and prances when he knows he's going. He does pull a bit on the leash but more so goes around you in circles. He doesn't like a lot of commotion or attention, he'd rather be in the background while out on trips. He is slightly drooly and licks his mouth a lot like a horse. He is a really kind boy who likes both men and women. Obedience training will be a condition of Jaxson's adoption.
