Hartman's Story...
Meet Hartman!! He is a NY ACC high kill shelter survivor. This stunning Tricolor boy is seriously unique and catches everyones eye. He is a sweet, smart, curious dog. He loves to go on walks with his min pin foster brother, but he’s still learning how to walk on a leash without pulling. He has learned to sit, wait, and give paw. He’s working on lay down. He is good about letting you know when he needs to go to the bathroom, but sometimes has accidents while his foster parents are at work. Hartman is very food motivated and loves carrots. This handsome guy is full of energy and love to give. He needs time and patience to continue learning his manners and socialization. Hartman enjoys his space and struggles with being crated, we have been working with him to make his crate a nice safe place but he doesn't trust the crate yet. He loves to give kisses but needs reminders about his mouthing and his boundaries. He loves cuddles and thinks he is a lap dog! This boy needs a little work and training to learn how to be perfect, but who can resist that face! If you are interested in Hartman, please apply on

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hartman, a Wethersfield Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Wethersfield, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Wethersfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wethersfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wethersfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wethersfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
