Gavin's Story...
Looking for a dog that will smoothly join your household? Look no more as Gavin is your guy. This black and rust 7 yr. old is a perfect gentleman in the house and although crate trained he does not need crating. Like a little lapdog, Gavin will happily snuggle with you on the couch, falling asleep in your lap. Velcro with his people, he will become your new shadow and you will never be lonely in the bathroom again! He's always ready to go, enjoys riding in the car, and has wonderful manners on leash when out-and-about. Gavin plays nicely with the female dog in his foster home, but can't resist chasing squirrels in the yard. We don't know if he is cat friendly inside, but on walks he ignores the ones he sees.

Come and meet Gavin at our next adoption event!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gavin, a Columbus Doberman Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Doberman Pinscher for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Doberman Pinscher dog from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Doberman Pinscher breeders who help with Doberman Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
