Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bernie is a precious little Boston Terrier puppy with special needs. She was surrendered to the shelter at just 4 mos. old and it was quickly apparent that she had had little to no contact with humans. She has come a long way since being in foster care but she is still extremely shy and guarded around people. She will need an adopter who has experience with dogs and can give her the time and patience she will need as she learns to trust. She probably wouldn't do well in a home with children, however, she would need to have a doggie sibling to help her feel comfortable. She loves other dogs and at only 6 mos. old, still has lots of puppy playfulness in her. She's okay with cats too. As with all our dogs, Bernie's had all her shots, been spayed, and microchipped too. If you could give this sweet baby the loving home she needs, please contact her foster mom at 225-335-5921 (call or text) or good.dogbr@yahoo.com. Helping this cute little gal come out of her shell can be a most rewarding experience! There is an online adoption application that has to be filled out to make sure that we match the perfect home for each individual dog. If you are found to be a good match, there is an adoption fee. This includes beging up to date on vaccinations, spay/neuter, and microchipping; so it's a really good deal! Here is the link to the online application below! It emails your application to the head of our organization for review. Let the foster know once you have sent it so that they can make sure that it doesn't get lost in the shuffle. Also be sure to answer all questions. If not applicable, just put NA. Oh, and don't forget to hit the send/submit button at the bottom! :)
Copy and paste it into your browser if the link does not work :) ---> https://secure.mailjol.net/allforms/u/649014eb.php
All dogs adopted through Friends of the Animals are current on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed or neutered prior to adoption. For more information about FOTA or to make a donation, please visit http://www.friendsoftheanimalsbr.org/.
