Tabitha's Story...
Name: Tabitha
Color: Brown and Grey Tabby
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Gender: Female
Age: 3 Years 6 Months
Tabitha is a sweet, mellow girl looking for a loving and patient family. She can be a little shy when put in new situations, but she quickly warms up when you start to pet her.
Big fan of: Once Tabitha feels comfortable, she is very affectionate and quickly turns into a rubbing- and purring-machine! She would love a home with a tall cat tower to snuggle and lounge around on when she is not playing with a laser pointer (which is her favorite toy).
Dream Home: A quiet home would be best for Tabitha. She would prefer a home without children, dogs, or cats, but she may be able to adjust to living in a home with a mellow male cat.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tabitha, a Bellingham Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
