Tigger's Story...
Adoption Pending. TIGGER is a sweet 5 year-old brindle Miniature Greyhound/Whippet mix male who was in need of some good nutrition and TLC when he first came into the rescue. As you can see, he is now a happy, healthy dog. He regained 6 pounds and now weighs in at 22 pounds. He has been fully vetted, vaccinated, and neutered. He is HW negative. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Tigger if it means he will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation toward vetting at your discretion. The adoption fee will help our 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue to cover at least part of the cost of the veterinary care he has received.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tigger, a Union City Italian Greyhound/Whippet dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Italian Greyhound/Whippet for sale in Union City, or seeking a Italian Greyhound/Whippet dog from a breeder in Union City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Union City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Union City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Italian Greyhound/Whippet breeders who help with Italian Greyhound/Whippet rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Union City paves the way for another one to be saved.
