Bandit's Story...
Bandit is a handsome male Springer Spaniel/Papillon mix. He was born around 11/2012. He is neutered, up to date on shots and heartworm positive, but don't let this scare you away as he can be kept on heartworm prevention and the worms will die off. He is a super sweet boy and gets along with other dogs. He can be a tad reserved when meeting a new person, but he very quickly warms up. He weighs 19.5lbs so is not to small and not to big, but just the right size to fit into a home. Could it be your home?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bandit, a Baton Rouge Papillon/Springer Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Papillon/Springer Spaniel for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Papillon/Springer Spaniel dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Papillon/Springer Spaniel breeders who help with Papillon/Springer Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
