Xena aka Tuta's Story...
Hi! My name is Xena. I am apx 3 yrs old and I am the sweetest, most loving soul and surrogate mother there is. My story began as a tragic one. I was found wandering a highway in Perris, Ca with a makeshift restraint made out of an electrical cord wrapped around my neck. I had recently given birth and was sooooooo exhausted that I could hardly trudge on. A good Samaritan picked me up, and although she was not allowed to bring me home, she stayed in her car with me all day waiting for my rescuer to make the 2 hr trek to come out get me. My rescuer came for me and noticed my body was full of baby's milk and that I was still was releasing fluid from my womb. She picked me up, laid me comfortably in her truck and we headed to the City of Angels. I literally walked out of hell to make it to this beautiful and loving place they call Los Angeles. My rescuer took me to the vet immediately for medical attention. The doc took good care of me and sent me on my way. Luckily my rescuer did not want to give me a cortisone shot to stop the production of milk just in case there were any orphaned babies in the rescue world who could benefit from gift of life. About one week or so later my soon to be foster baby Milton, a Cockapoo puppy, came to me when he tragically lost his mama who was hit and killed by a car :( I took to baby Milton immediately. We rescued each other. I love him like my own baby and he loves and looks up to his big Shepherd mama.

I love Milton but the time has come for us to spread our wings and find our happy furever afters. Could that be with you? Contact delaneysdog@gmail.com for Xena's application and rachel@luckypuppyrescueandretail.org for Milton's application and info!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Xena aka Tuta, a Los Angeles German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
