Princess's Story...
Princess is a tri-color Beagle who was born on September 1, 2008 and weighs 23.5 pounds. Princess is very affectionate - snuggling is her very favorite thing to do! Pillows are her best friend , as she loves to curl up on a pillow. Princess loves to always be with her people, including sleeping with them in a stack of pillows along with the cats in the home. She loves respectful kids and spending lots of time with them. Princess is spunky and funny and she loves to play, especially with her tug-of-war toy! She is best pals with the other dog in her foster home. He is tall and weighs 70 pounds, but Princess thinks she’s a big dog and plays with the other dog like they're the same size! The cats in her foster home are learning that Princess is harmless, just noisy when she first sees them. Princess needs to work on her table manners, as she is very quick to go for people food if given a fraction of an opportunity. Princess is not fond of going into her kennel initially, but knows all about it. She is working on getting house-trained, and is not a fan of getting her feet cold and wet. She has been vet checked, spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, and tested negative for heartworm. Call 507-451-4512 to meet Princess in her foster home. Her adoption fee is $200. (JP)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Princess, a Owatonna Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Owatonna, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Owatonna.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Owatonna already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Owatonna breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Owatonna paves the way for another one to be saved.
