My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

INITIAL BIO 11/10/2014: hi, my name is Tommy. Boy have I had a ruff week. You see, I came REALLY REALLY close to having to cross the Rainbow Bridge. If it wasn't for my foster mom and some other quick thinking rescue Angels, I wouldn't be here (by the way, here is in Ft Myers, FL!)
Ok, so I'm 4 years old and almost 8 lbs. I was originally brought to a big scary shelter in South Florida. I was rescued and was in one of the shelter's foster homes, but was returned a week later for high temperatures and a seizure! The shelter only gave me a few hours to live. What I didn't know was how many people were working behind the scenes, arranging the speedy transport. A nice lady came to get me and whisked me off to a nearby vet (who was sooo nice to me).
Anyway, I never had another seizure. The Dogtor thinks it was some kind of infection which caused the temperature..... And that the fever caused the seizure. All I know is that while I have a touch of kennel cough at the moment, I certainly wasn't ready to cross the Bridge! So thank you UYR.
Now, a little about me..... Foster mom says I'm quiet and a little sad. I wiggle my little butt when she comes home, but I keep to myself. She does try to cuddle with me, and I do like that.
I potty outside except when she's gone a long time. My food got changed up so its not my fault. I pee pee outside when I go for a walk.
I know I'll come around. So much has happened to me that I need to feel safe and loved... And FM is doing a good job of that. Thanks for everyone who is thinking of me. I like other dogs and people so far. I just need a little TLC. Kisses - Tommy.
