My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

JAXON is a 2 year old neutered black male Lab who weighs 62 pounds. Jaxon is very friendly and loves to be around people, his tail never stops wagging when he is with you. He has a mean lab lean and enjoys getting his belly scratched. He is a big ol' puppy who is excited to meet new people. He loves other dogs but his play be a bit overwhelming for some. He is looking for a family that has a yard and will play with him to burn off his energy. Good with other dogs. Jaxon pulls some on lead but is good with an Easy Walk harness. He was adopted from the shelter and returned because he was too much for their older dog. We are told he is housebroken and they gated him in the kitchen, but he had access to a doggy door to go in the yard. Jaxon came from a rural area so he may not do well in an apartment/condo/townhouse or busy neighborhood. He is approved for kids 10+

Update (01/13):Jaxon is working hard here at the Lab Lounge. He has learned to sit, keep his feet to himself, and loves his crate. He has a new doggy friend who is visiting and they are having a blast running around outside. He is being a really good boy :) Jaxon has been working on basic manners training and leash work and is doing great!! He will still need an owner that is committed to continuing his training but he has come a long way in a very short time and is very much improved and well on his way to being a super companion. He loves to play with all the other dogs and LOVES toys now.

Update (11/25): Jaxon got to spend the night with a foster and did very well. He got along great with all the foster's dogs as well as her son. He loved romping around in the back yard and playing but was very good in the house once he got exercise. He loved the comfy dog beds and just following the foster around. He was not super happy about the crate but settled in and slept all night.
