Bliss's Story...
Bliss is a very cute little labby girl. She is about 1 to 2 years old and weighs 45 to 50 lbs. Bliss has a pretty shiny black coat that is just a little longer than an average Lab coat and she is oh so sweet. Bliss likes everyone she meets and loves to get attention from her people. She wags her tail and wiggles all over when she sees someone new. Bliss is great with her canine foster siblings and loves to play. She is also good with the kitties. Bliss would be considered a medium energy girl and she takes treats very nicely making training a breeze. She is very smart and learns quickly. She would be a great addition to most any family and would love to go for long walks, hikes, car rides or just plain hanging out in front of the fireplace or TV with her family. She is very loving and would cuddle with you on the cold nights to come. Bliss has been spayed, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations including rabies and is micro-chipped. She is also house trained and crate trained. Bliss would make a perfect companion. If you would like to see how Bliss could be a part of your family, please complete the online adoption application and indicate her in the notes section.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bliss, a Salem Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Salem, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
