My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Are you looking for a special little fellow who promises to be your loyal companion? Well, you've got to come to the El Cajon Animal Shelter and meet me. My name is CHILI, and I'm a delightful, quirky, and cuddly eight-year-old Chihuahua mix. I'm here at the shelter because my owner lost her home and couldn't care for me anymore. I love to snuggle, and I'm a fit fellow who enjoys going for walks. I'm a very good boy who knows how to sit on command. I've got big brown eyes and a pair of ears that seem to have a mind of their own. I probably haven't been adopted yet because I tend to bark at people I don't know when I'm in my kennel. Please ask one of the helpful staff here to take us out to the nice play yard so we can get to know each other. It will just take me a minute to get to know you, then I'm a happy guy. I get along well with dogs on social calls, but in my own home I want to be the Top Dog; I don't want to share you with another pooch. I'd also need to be in an adult home. I hope you'll give me a chance to show you that I'm one of the most affectionate little guys you'll ever meet. The staff and volunteers LOVE me! You'll be pleased to know that I've already been house trained, and that MY ADOPTION FEE IS ONLY $30. That includes my microchip, plus I've already been neutered and I'm up-to-date on my shots.
