Blake's Story...
Meet Blake, a Lab mix, who is waiting at the shelter for his forever home. He looks like he may be mixed with a border collie. He has the markings, and anyone who has ever known a border collie will recognize that hypnotizing gaze. He's a friendly boy, and very nosy. He was more interested in the goings-on on the other side of the fence, although he did play ball for about 5 seconds. He's a sweetheart but needs to gain a few pounds. We're sure his new peeps will take care of that

Act quickly to adopt Blake. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blake, a Jacksonville Labrador Retriever/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie for sale in Jacksonville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Jacksonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacksonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacksonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Border Collie breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacksonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
