My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PEANUT is a 2 year old neutered yellow male Lab who weighs 83 pounds. Peanut & Jake are great dogs, they are friendly and very lovable. They love to be with you and to get petted. Jake is the leader and the first to explore, Peanut follows along to make sure he doesn't get into trouble or if he does to help. Jake likes to retrieve, Peanut not so much so. They lived in the country and are used to going out to a fenced in yard play in. They would like to have a family that is active and can give them love, attention, training and exercise so they will thrive. They are owner give ups because of a divorce. They are siblings, were adopted by separate families. When they were about 6 months old Peanut's owner had to give him up and Jake's family adopted him. They were inside dogs until the family moved to a smaller house last year when they moved to an outside kennel, in a fenced yard. They are very happy to be living inside again. They lived with two kids now 9 and 11, the dogs are great with them. Good with other dogs. They know sit and come, and working on other commands They pull some on lead and are better with an Easy Walk Harness. Crate trained and may be house trained they are keeping their room clean at the kennel. He is approved for kids ages 7+.

Update (12/08)Both are good with Lily my 7 year old daughter. They are not jumpers or barkers really, Jake is the only one we have heard and that was when he barked at the goats. They are not mouthy....don't go for Lily's toys and have not been destructive in any way. They are housetrained.
Jake: Super sweet and calm guy. He is prone to chasing anything that runs, goats and deer for example so he needs fenced yard. I didn't try introducing him to our cats but I suspect it would not go well. Is house-trained and likes to hang out in his crate or just by himself. He is good running companion with the right leash, can stand some more training especially if wildlife cross his path. Knows his name, sit, come.
Peanut: Also a super sweet guy, he will be your constant shadow and likes to be with you - expect him to be at your feet. Peanut is food driven and will train well. Knows his name, sit, come. Very much a sniffer and constantly checking via smell for Jake or me, had no interest in goats or deer by sight. He is very strong and would benefit from leash training.
Not doing bad for two country boys
