My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Yes Teddy is REALLY this cute! He is a 8 pound, 4 year old Yorkie/Silky Terrier that came to us form a family that no longer had the time for him. He has been a wonderful little dog in rescue. He is house trained, crate trained and leash trained. He loves other dogs, is good with cats and is good with respectful children who are 10 and older. He loves everyone that he meets and likes women and men equally.

This super little guy is all terrier. He loves to play with the other dog in the house or chase that toy on your 25th throw. As much as Teddy likes to play he loves to snuggle. He will drape himself across your lap or snuggle against your chest and snuggles in bed with you at night. Guaranteed to keep your yard free of moles and voles and heaven forbid a mouse enter your house! This little guy is the perfect bundle. In typical terrier style, he is a smart, devoted companion and is eager to do whatever it is that you're doing.

Teddy's adoption will require a fenced yard and someone that is home more than a 40 hour work weeks allows; someone that works from home, works very part time or is retired. He will need another playful dog or children in the house for his enjoyment.

Teddy has occasional idiopathic leg tremors. He has had a complete blood work up which is normal. The tremors are a vibration of his legs which cause him no pain or interfere with his movement in any way. This does not affect him at all but our vet has suggested that he not receive any more vaccinations due to this condition. Teddy will need to have blood titters in lieu of a rabies vaccination. If your county requires a valid rabies for licensing please check to see that they will accept a blood titter.

If you think that your lifestyle and environment fit with Teddy's needs please email starmarrescue@gmail.com for an application or call Martha at 330-262-0515 or 330-466-3667 for information.

STAR-MAR RESCUE IS REGISTERED WITH THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
