MEET ANNABEL LEE -
Annabel Lee is a beautifully, sweet female, red, 13 pounds, smooth coat Dachshund in need of a loving forever family. She is a family dog and does well with another neutered male doxie and human children. She is good on a leash and does well in the car. She loves to walk and RUN. She loves to go on runs and will run and run until her little legs give up. How many humans can say that? ANNABEL LEE is a great dog. While she had had no training, her only known behavior issue is that she will bark when anxious, so she really needs a family with someone at home with her all the time. She tends to bark at cats and dogs that are not her brother. ANNABEL LEE is a very healthy doxie. She has a slight deformity to her right hind leg, but as we said above, it doesn't impact her walking or running. Are you ready to open your hearts and home to a beautiful, sweet active doxie? If so, maybe you're the family for ANNABEL LEE.
OUR CRITERIA (aka The Fine Print):
Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same gender dogs in a home unless they were raised together, and children need to be 10 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer non smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember, these are rescues; many were surrendered because of these issues.
WHAT YOU GET IN RETURN WITH YOUR LITTLE RESCUE:
All our dogs are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, Pyrantyl, nails trimmed, and dental when needed. They'll come with a basket of goodies, food, toys and a custom made harness. The adoption fee is $395, sorry no exceptions, as this covers the cost to rescue them, vet them and take care of them while in our rescue. It also helps towards the care of other doxies that come with huge vet or dental bills or need extensive behavioral training.
