Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ruthie- a heart worm negative yearling shepherd mix. For Ruthie, the past does not exist and the future has not yet been written- this girl lives in the here and now! Striving to please and a quick study, Ruthie has already learned 'sit', 'down' and 'shake' commands in her foster home and is new best friends with the male shepherd who lives there. She loves kids, and loves to play outside in the yard. She is quite contact to seep in her kennel or on her bed on the floor. A very easy going gal. Her foster mom says that she would do well in a home as an only dog, but also in a multi dog home.
Weighing in the 38 pound range, Ruthie has coloration suggestive of a shepherd, but with a shorter coat that is not as thick. A beautiful face with a 'widow's peak', her honey colored eyes are bright, alert, quizzical and engaging; her tail is long and curls back on itself 'little piggy' style. She enjoys playing with other dogs, but can amuse herself- a skill acquired from long months spent at the shelter before she became a FOTA girl. Resilient little Ruthie- eager to demonstrate that there is no such thing as a bad day if you can come home to a dog.
For any questions, please contact her foster family here: 228-343-6182 (call or text)
All dogs adopted through Friends of the Animals are current on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed or neutered prior to adoption. For more information about FOTA or to make a donation, please visit http://www.friendsoftheanimalsbr.org/.
