My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

4 months old, baby male kitten
The elusive Capt Kidd, kitten pirate extraordinaire came to the shelter with a badly swollen and ruptured eye. But fear not! Capt Kidd has assimilated into full pirate hood with surgery to remove his badly infected eye.
When the Captain first went into foster care he was very undersocialized with people and semi-feral. In the few weeks since he has started to come out of his shell and can now be found searching the high seas for treasure...or just relaxing nearby in a cat tree or on the sofa. Capt Kidd is still very skittish about being pet suddenly, or lots of movements, but recently he has joined his foster mom on the sofa for pets when things are quiet. We know there is a very sweet kitten under all that bravado, he just needs a very patient family willing to give him space and time, and work with him.
Capt Kidd absolutely LOVES other friendly cats and must be adopted into a home with a cat or kitten playmate (and snuggle buddy), or be adopted along with one of his foster siblings, in order to make the transition easier for him. He is fine with dog who ignore cats. He should not live with young kids, as he needs a calmer, more patient family to start with.
Capt Kidd has had his age appropriate vaccinations including rabies, neuter surgery, feline leukemia (FeLV) & FIV testing, microchipping, preventative flea treatment, & de-worming.
