Monty's Story...
ABOUT MONTY -- FRONT-DECLAWED LOVERBOY
I am just a year old, FRONT-DECLAWED and a big lover! Hi, I'm MONTY. Wherever you are is where I want to be. Super sweet and snuggly, I'm one of those kitties who enjoys giving attention as much as receiving it. I am a Lap Cat and I purr easily. Like most declawed cats, I can get overwhelmed, so I will do best in an adult-only, low- to moderate-activity home with a very laidback cat and maybe a quieter dog who will pretend I don't exist.

** Come see me at the Naperville PETCO (348 S. Rt. 59, near Arby's)!

** Adoption hours are 1-4:00 on weekends at the Aurora PETSMART (976 S. Rt. 59) and the Naperville PETCO (348 S. Rt. 59), and 11-2:00 at the Naperville PETSMART (Rt. 59 and 111th) -- or by appointment. To make an appointment or for more information, call PURRS at 630-815-4520 -- OR, for faster service, email purrsnaperville@yahoo.com.

** All PURRS' cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, FIV/FeLeuk tested, wormed, and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Monty, a Hillside Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Hillside, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Hillside.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hillside already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hillside breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hillside paves the way for another one to be saved.
