Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Name: Venus
Sex: Female
Breed: Bull Breed Mix
Age:4 years
Got cuddles? Venus sure does. This approximately four year old girl had a pretty rough go and spent two weeks in vet care before she was even able to be taken to a shelter. Though we don't know for sure, it's pretty likely that she was hit by a car as she has several healed pelvic fractures that cause her to walk with a limp. She also has nerve damage to her tail which means that she only has feeling in about the top third of it. Of course none of that matters to her! Despite the severity of her injuries Venus has retained the ability to love her people and she wants nothing more than a quiet, structured family of her own. She is initially concerned when meeting new people - especially men - but she warms up quickly and makes up for her previous hesitation with boundless affection. She's good with both large and small dogs, male and female, and did very well when introduced to the cats in her foster home. Due to her old injuries Venus is not a candidate for a super energetic home - she definitely needs daily exercise but she is not able to endure forced physical activities like jogging or running beside a bicycle. Venus has not been around children to our knowledge but would likely enjoy a home with respectful kids around the age of 10 years or older. She loves raw bones, is learning to play with toys, is crate trained. The extremely cold weather we have had lately has set back her house training a bit, but she is fine as long as you don't allow her to sneak off by herself. If you're looking for a lovely lady with a surplus of love to give, Venus is your girl.
