Here's what the humans have to say about me:
When we are asked about a special rescue pup that is snuggly, sweet and very fun-loving, we can't help but think of Gary. His smile is shining...and maybe just a bit mischievous. We know it's morning when Gary's little head comes under the blanket...getting closer and closer..and then a huge kiss of love. This curious and really, really smart 7MO month old, 14 lb Shih tzu mix is a truly great companion. There aren't many visible signs that Gary was in a very scary high-kill shelter. He's sometimes shy and can be a bit uncertain in some situations..but a warm hug and reassuring words..and Gary bounces back and cuddles just a bit closer.
Gary's foster mom said: "Gary is a little pup with an enormous heart. He is always eager to meet new people and loves to greet his new friends with lots of kisses. In his alone time Gary loves to chew on toys that make noise and water bottles. HE WOULD BE PERFECT FOR A FAMILY WITH KIDS!"
We picture Gary as the best friend to kids. He'd be so loyal.. and overjoyed to share his love and good will. There's also no question that Gary would be the most popular guy on the block. Once comfortable, he loves to engage and just be his entertaining, adorable self. Since Gary is at such a young age, and is still living his golden puppy years, he is more on the high energy level. He loves to play and run around and be the puppy he truly deserves to be!
Gary derives so much joy from his relationships, we would love to see him in an active family that just loves him dearly...he's a great pup who deserves this in his life.
Gary will be arriving on transport in Boulder very soon. Applications are currently being accepted and can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/. If you're interested in this sweet and playful companion, please fill out and return to farfelsapps@gmail.com.
