MISTY-pending's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

MISTY-pending's Story...
Sweet, gentle Misty arrived on November 22nd weighing 43 pounds. She is 1 - 1/2 years of age. She was good in the car on the way home. Upon arrival she spent some time exploring the yard and inside the house. She met my two dogs and all three dogs are getting along well. Misty is a bit underweight but has no food issues. She takes treats gently and eats alongside the other dogs with no problems. I am able to put my hand in her bowl as she eats with no reaction from her. She has a nice calm energy level so far. She will play nicely with toys, gladly accept affection, or quietly hang out on her own. Misty slept quietly through the night in her crate. We went for a long walk this morning. Misty walked beautifully on the leash. She met the neighbor's cat this morning and wanted to play with it. The cat did not share her interest and Misty was respectful of his wishes. She has not had any accidents in the house so far.As we get to know this sweet one better, we will update the description.

UPDATE: I have nothing but positive things to report on this beautiful girl. We have gone on several long walks, meeting many adults, children, and dogs along the way. People have commented on how nicely she walks. She shows interest in her surroundings but continues to walk at an appropriate pace with no pulling on the leash, even when passing other dogs. Misty was calm and friendly when a group of children were invited to meet her. She likes exploring the yard. She is very well mannered inside the house and continues to get along well with the other dogs. She has earned free roam of the house and still no accidents. Misty does LOVE her soft squeaky toys. She plays with them nicely and has yet to rip one apart.

This animal is currently fostered in a private home. Our rescue is 100% foster home based. We do not have a shelter or kennel. They are cared for by a loving family until adopted. Each pup has had their first vet exam, a shot, and de-worming, etc We make sure they have no fleas prior to going into our foster homes. They are fostered out of the shelter at least two weeks or more prior to adopting to monitor health. We take their care seriously! Please note that the adoption appointments will be scheduled after your application is approved. Once adopted, feel free to change the dog's name. You do not have to keep the name listed in this post.

All dogs over 6 months are spayed/Neutered, rabie shot, heartworm tested, parvo distemper shot, and dewormed. IF YOU ADOPT a pup and live in the State of New Jersey we do have low cost spaying and neutering at very affordable prices. Kindly inquire upon an approved application. We also have an affordable program for out of state adopters.

We also offer low cost micro-chipping! For a low fee of only 20.00 we will have your dog microchipped. You will be able to register the microchip for a low cost fee of only 10.99 at the time of the adoption appointment. The 10.99 fee is a ONE time registration fee. The microchip is for the lifetime of the dog. You have the ability to update the contact information at NO cost. You will also have a one year membership to Home Again. This is a big savings for you.

***** If you're interested in fostering we could always use the help to save more animals. A crate, food, and medical care are provided. The animals are picked up in West Milford, NJ and brought back here for adoption. The time commitment is two to two and a half weeks. Please email letting us know what town you live in and we will forward information to you. *****

Sheryl's Den has teamed up with Petfirst Health care in an effort to offer pet insurance for your adopted family member. If you wish, you can enroll once you adopt. Your coverage will begin following your activation. The first 30 days are free! There is no cost to the adopter for this 30-day protection (This program is available in all US states and Washington DC, but not NY at this time) The 30-day coverage plan ensures the pets adopted are covered for accidents and illnesses. This plan provides $1,000 aggregate/ $500 per-incident limit of accident and illness protection. It reimburses 100% of vet bills after a $50 per-incident deductible. To activate the insurance, pet parents must call 1-855-710-7387. The insurance is not active until the adopter activates it, and is not retroactive to the date of the adoption. Once their insurance is active, they use the veterinarian of their choice and submit their bills for reimbursement, which PetFirst processes in as little as two weeks. Adopters have the option to extend or upgrade their coverage at the time of activation.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MISTY-pending, a West Milford Husky/Shiba Inu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky/Shiba Inu for sale in West Milford, or seeking a Husky/Shiba Inu dog from a breeder in West Milford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Milford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Milford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky/Shiba Inu breeders who help with Husky/Shiba Inu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Milford paves the way for another one to be saved.
