Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Marshall: 12 year old neutered male yellow Lab 80 lbs
SWEET SWEET MARSHALL
Golden Gate Lab Rescue got a call from the Merced shelter as Marshall was brought in by his owners and they told the shelter he was too old and they did not want him any longer. (They wanted to get a puppy for the holidays.) He was due to be put down so we arranged for him to be driven up to the Bay Area, as we knew Marshall had much more life left! When we met Marshall we met a very happy sweet boy. He is a very easy dog and always seems to be wagging his tail! He gives you a big smile as to say thank you for coming to my rescue!
We now have him in a foster home and this is what the foster has to say about Marshall:
This dog has gravitas! Marshall is a gracious companion, gentle, quiet and in very good shape for his age. He has a very nice coat and very soft eyes. Marshall gets along with everyone. We crate him when we have to leave the house and he loves going inside. He loves to go for walks, has great table manners – you can reach into his food bowl and grab some kibble if you want a snack. Marshall is very diplomatic with other dogs, but is not a cat lover, though more out of habit than obsession. He is laid back and curious and will accompany you from room to room but is not clingy or demanding. A soft dog bed or a nice rug, a tickle on the ear, a treat for good behavior and he is content.
Lab Rescue got him neutered, did a dental on him, got a mass removed from his eye lid, removed a couple other masses – that came back as non-cancerous, we did a full blood panel and it came back as a very healthy dog. We got him all his shots, heartworm test and microchipped. Marshall is located on Fairfield.

(Please keep in mind we are all volunteers, most of us work full time and we all have personal lives. I do call everyone back within 2-3 days so please be patient and I will be back in touch with you. When the dogs are in foster homes then it may take longer as we need to touch base with the fosters for updates on the dogs. We work very hard to make the right matches for the dogs and for the new owners. We get 3-5 dogs per week and we do not have a facility that we keep the dogs housed in. They are scattered all over the Bay Area.)
