My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tank is a 1 year old black male with natural ears. He is a VERY energetic boy who loves to play, play, play that came to rescue from a shelter. Tank is an escape artist and is constantly trying to figure out how to escape from the fence is his foster home. He figured out how to unlock the gate with his head. Tank has not jumped over the dog gate in the house but has tried to pull it out of the wall with his mouth. He is a counter surfer and we are working on this. He does well with other dogs big and small when greeting them. He gets a bit pushy with them at times but backs down and usually cowers after they put him in his place. He like to throw his paws around when trying to play with humans and other dogs. I would use caution placing him in a home with small dogs just because he is still a puppy. He tries to jump over them and throws his paws at them trying to get them to play. He doesn't realize how big and strong he is and he still has the coordination of a small puppy. Tank also likes to ram you and the other dogs with his head or come up behind you and go through your legs so that your riding him like a horse. He is unknown with cats. He still nips like little puppies do when they are playing. Not at all aggressively just playful. He seems to be fine with all the men he's met while here, even the vet. During the vet visit he seemed to think it was play time even while we were holding him down to get his blood to check for heartworms. He showed no aggression at all. So far he's done very well in a crate. When he meets new people he runs up to them very excited. He has also tried to jump up on them but when corrected stops suddenly. He has a really sweet personality but he needs training, which will be a requirement of his adoption. He is very lovable and friendly.

*Tank must have a 6 foot fence due to his "Houdini" ways.
