Ebby's Story...
How could this ebony beauty be called anything but Ebby? Purr-fection on four pretty paws, this former feral cat, at barely a year old, simply loves the attention of people. In fact, she even enjoys being carried around like a baby! An accomplished acrobat as well, she will gaily and gracefully jump onto your back if you oblige her by bending down. Comfortable around children, dogs and other cats, elegant Ebby would make a purr-fect permanent addition to any loving household.

Our shelter is a no cage, no kill sanctuary. Most of the cats in our care are here because they was no other alternative and for many it was their last hope. All of our cats receive love, affection and attention everyday. Every volunteer we have spends personal time with each and every one of them so we can tell you in detail all about their personality when you come to adopt. The more we can adopt out the more we can go out and rescue.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ebby, a Waynesville American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Waynesville, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Waynesville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waynesville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waynesville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waynesville paves the way for another one to be saved.
