Sierra's Story...
Two to 2 1/2 year old Sierra is a striking combination of red and white, splotched a bit together like some breeds of cows. Sierra loves romping in the lake near her foster home. After swimming, her hair dries quickly. Usually mild-mannered, she get animated when you take her out for a walk or turn her loose in a fenced yard to play. Indoors, she's quiet and calm. Sierra is crate trained and obeys the sit command. Sierra would chase a cat given the opportunity, so a cat free home is preferred She tested negative for heartworms, and has been vaccinated, dewormed, spayed and vet checked. Sierra is solidly built, weighing 55-60 pounds. She may be mixed with some type bulldog due to her muscular build. Email petsavernc@bellsouth.net to meet Sierra. she has been friendly to children ages 6,11,13, and 15 at her foster home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sierra, a Chapel Hill Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Chapel Hill, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Chapel Hill.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chapel Hill already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chapel Hill breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chapel Hill paves the way for another one to be saved.
