My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

1/15/15 - I'VE BEEN ADOPTED!

Adoption Fee: $400

Fostered in Louisiana

Age: 2 years

Weight: 5.8 lbs.

11/25/14 - Why is it so dark in here? Oh, now I remember, I’m blind! This is a result of being a breeding pup and my last owners did not care to take care of my eyes when I had ulcers form and then rupture. You know what though, I forgive them. That’s what God would do, forgive. A nice lady saved me from this address and contacted YHR to take me in. I am now in my foster home with two other pups and a really nice lady. I get around nicely and if I bump into something, I just change direction and keep going. I’m doing surprisingly well on potty training. I will go every time brought out, and if there is a pee pad on the floor with some scent on it, if I can find it and make it there in time, I will definitely use it.

I do like having other calm dogs around to learn and follow their scent. Foster mom catches me laying on various dog beds around the house with them. When they get up and move, I slowly walk until I find them and join them again. I like having friends. Even though I should be totally mad at the world, my long, cute tail is always wagging in the wind to show my love for life.

I’m still a little timid when being picked up. I’m sure it is because I was not handled gently at my previous location. Being blind and not knowing when someone is coming makes me flinch when touched quickly. I like it when I’m talked to and absolutely love to be held close to your chest like a baby and have my back rubbed and my face and ears scratched. I sleep in the bed all night with foster mom curled up in a blanket and don’t move. I just cannot believe the amount of comfort that is at my disposal now. If I knew that being blind and not producing any more pups would get me kicked out of the sweat shop, I would have prayed for this long ago.

Anyway, I’m looking for a nice, quiet home with another dog or two that wouldn’t mind co-existing with me and letting me try to be their shadow and an adult or two that is home a lot. Children will be a no-no for me.

If you will be my eyes, I will be your heart!

11/24/14 - BIO COMING SOON!
