My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

1 year old Spencer was found in the bushes near a deserted factory in Taiwan. He is a Belgian Malinois/Shepherd/Formosan Mountain Dog who weighs about 40 lbs. We flew him here and he was lucky enough to get adopted. However, his new owner returned him. Spencer is a great dog who was never properly socialized and has had difficulty fitting in. He is fearful of strangers and men. He is comfortable in his home, but timid, skittish and scared outside and is easily startled by loud noises and new environments. His old owner did not have the time or resources to work with him to build his confidence. His new foster says that with patience and encouragement he opens up and is an absolute sweet heart. He has car anxiety and can get sick in the car. He gets along well with dogs and cats, is good on the leash and is generally not a barker, although he does bark for protection. He knows basic commands like SIT, PAW, COME HERE. Spencer would do best in a home with someone who could work with him to help build his confidence and he would love to share his home with another easy going dog who could mentor him.
