Ruby's Story...
Please welcome Adopt-A-Bull Ruby!

Gender: Female, Breed Classification: PBT, Age:18 months old as of 9/14, Weight: 38lbs

Ruby was brought into a vet's office as a stray in 10/2013 and no one ever came looking for her, she was just discarded like so many wonderful dogs are. The vet's office took care of her and cared for her for 10 months until the vet's office approached Orlando Bully Rescue (OBR) and asked us to meet Ruby, OBR conducted a temperament test and Ruby passed with flying colors and from there Ruby was our newest OBR member! Ruby is now on her way to finding her new forever home and living a life of happiness.

Over the past couple of weeks OBR has had the pleasure of watching Ruby enjoy being in a home :) Ruby is truly an amazing and loving dog ♥ Ruby just loves to be around people, dogs (of all sizes) and is in the process of being cat tested.

Ruby knows basic obedience and learns very quickly, as she is very motivated to please people and learn new commands. With continued training she is a dog you could take anywhere with you. If given the opportunity, Ruby would make a family very happy.

Ruby is leash trained and would make an excellent walking or running companion for someone. She is also house and crate trained. Ruby is up-to-date on her rabies & DHPP, Bordetella, she is spayed, heart worm negative, and micro-chipped, which is activated through HomeAgain. Ruby is on monthly heart worm preventatives and flea medication. To see more photos of Ruby please go check out Orlando Bully Rescue on Facebook.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ruby, a Orlando Pit Bull Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Orlando, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Orlando.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Orlando already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Orlando breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Orlando paves the way for another one to be saved.
