My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am a 2-year-old neutered male Brussels Griffon mix. I weigh about 10 pounds. I'm a great size if you are looking for a lap dog. And trust me, I enjoy laps! Snuggling is one of my favorite things to do.

Obviously you've seen my photos and have probably watched my video. So, let's just tackle this head-on. I'm sure you think that I am super cute, but I'm guessing you are wondering what is wrong with my fur. Not to worry, it's just a case of non-contagious Demodectic Mange. Typically it's a puppy thing, but it can also occasionally happen to young adults like me, too. I know it looks pretty bad, but I hope you can trust me when I say that I will be back to my adorable furry self in no time! And it doesn't affect my personality or my health in any way, it just looks kinda unattractive. If you would like more information about my skin condition, please feel free to speak to my caregivers. They'd be more than happy to answer any and all questions you may have.

Here's a little background information on me. One night, someone drove me to a local high-kill animal shelter and dumped me there. The next morning, the shelter booked me in as a stray and I spent 4 days waiting for my family to come find me. Usually the families don't come, however, there was a small sliver of hope that I would be redeemed by my original owner because someone had spent the money to have me neutered already. Sadly though, the fourth day came and went. No one showed up to get me and I was made available for adoption to the general public. I was sure I was doomed! With my skin condition, I was certain no one would even look twice at me. But, I got really lucky. I was only at the shelter for a week before I was told that I would be going to stay at CageFree. I couldn't believe it! Here I was, sad and mostly hairless, yet someone still wanted to save my life. I can't tell you how happy I was :)

Now that I have been released from doggie prison, I get to spend my days at the rescue group's facility hanging out with all my friends while I wait for my forever family to adopt me. I'm hoping that might be you!

I'm a really easy going fella. I'm cute, quiet and well behaved. I get along well with people and other dogs. If an adorable, sweet, affectionate dog is what you're after, then look no further because you have come to the right place!

I've quickly become the staff favorite over here. I must say, I am a little spoiled! I just know that if you came to meet me, you'd fall in love with me, too! I'm as sweet as they come.

If you are looking for a young, joyful, totally adorable pup, please don't hesitate to contact CageFree to schedule a time to come meet me. You wouldn't want to miss out on adopting the perfect little pup, would you?
