My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoption Fee Applies - Email CAARescue@gmail.com

My name is Abby and I am approximately 9 months old. My mummy was is a German Shepherd Boxer Mix and my Daddy is unknown. When I was about 12 weeks old I was given away to another family shortly thereafter I was returned. I was hoping to stay with my mama forever but it proved to be too much for the family so they asked for help! Since CAA Rescue saved my sister when she was 12 weeks old they were contacted first to see if they could help me and of course they said yes!!

That is how I know find myself in foster care, living in a new home with a new family! I really like it here a lot. I get tons of attention, have a resident doggie to play with a sweet little girl who loves to give me hugs and kisses.

While I did live with a cat in my previous life I have not met once since I joined the CAA Rescue foster family so who knows how I will react

I have a very sweet and calm and gentle nature. I have great recall if you use my name Abby! I don’t like to stray too far from my foster family and if you like jogging a couple of times a week I would love to join you!

I am clean in the home and show no signs of destructive behavior or anxiety at this time. I am still a little iffy on car rides, probably because I have very rarely been in one and it is all a new experience!!! Probably best not to feed me before a road trip because my doggie food does not look as great as it did on its way down.

I am a calm and gentle girl and everyone calls me a SweetHeart. I do need a little more work on the leash my foster mummy says she will try to see if I walk better with a harness rather than a collar… I think my foster mummy sometimes forgets that where I was before I was never walked sooooo leash walking is all brand new to me but I am a smart girl and do want to please my foster mummy so I am sure with her positive reinforcement training I will be a perfect walking girl

I also need someone who will spend time working with my ongoing training, sure I am an awesome girl but I would love to stay that way so I need consistent and positive reinforcement because I am still a young girl and have my whole life ahead of me where we can experience so many different adventures together! I am super social with dogs and people
If you have read my story and cannot wait another minute to meet me please write to CAARescue@gmail.com and ask them for an adoption application so that we can go for a walk together!
