Clyde's Story...
Have you ever seen such a happy hound? Clyde is a gorgeous foxhound that is about 1 1/2 years old. He was originally turned in to us because he continuously got out of his yard when he was left there for extended periods of time. Clyde is a joyful boy that has a nose for curiosity, and he will need training and exercise to be a well-balanced and content pup. He has lots of puppy energy and loves to run, play, and explore. Clyde is a smart boy that is willing to learn so much if someone would just take the time to teach him. He is already quite polite and will walk nicely on a leash and sit when asked. He loves a good game of fetch but also loves just laying by your side, getting some attention. He just adores people and gets along good with dogs his size. Clyde would do best in a home with no small dogs or cats. He has such a big heart and warm personality, and is incredibly outgoing and friendly. He really just wants to be part of the family and treated with the kindness and respect that he deserves. Please come in and meet our happy guy, and give Clyde the forever, loving home that he's yet to experience. File#24112 11/12/14

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Clyde, a Forked River Foxhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Foxhound for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Foxhound dog from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Foxhound breeders who help with Foxhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
