Stretch's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Stretch's Story...
Stretch is a purebred, 3 yr old, male Dachshund. He is an extremely affectionate guy, always looking for someone to cuddle with. Stretch loves to be held, to lay his head on your chest and wiggle in right under your chin. He gets along with other dogs and cats. Stretch is only 10 pounds and has a very short coat. He cannot take long periods of outside time in the winter and he needs to wear a coat or sweater. He is looking for a family that would love to pamper him. He hopes you will have a fireplace, love to snuggle under a blanket on the couch and watch long movies.
All of our adoptable pets have been spayed or neutered, are heart worm free, started on parasite preventatives, vaccinated, and microchipped. In order to ensure that all of our dogs go to their best and last homes, we require that an adoption application and home visit is completed and approved before adopting. Our adoption contract includes a two week trial period to give you and your new family member time to adjust. His adoption fee is $350. Contact ACDrescueMN@gmail.com for an adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stretch, a Delano Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Delano, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Delano.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Delano already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Delano breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Delano paves the way for another one to be saved.
