Grace's Story...
Hi there, my name is Grace. I was rescued from a high kill shelter the day before Thanksgiving. I was in the shelter, along with my mom, for about 6 weeks on a court hold. The person who had us didn't feed us much or give us proper shelter, so he got in trouble for being unkind. So me and my mom went to the shelter, and we were glad to have food and shelter. But then one day my mom was just gone. Our court hold was up and they put her to sleep, they didn't even give her a chance to have a good life.

The nice ladies of Wilson Animal Rescue saw me and knew that they could not let anything happen to me, so I got adopted into rescue and am living in a foster home.

I am sweet with other dogs and am learning all about living a good life with love and food and shelter and so much more. My mom would be so happy - I'm going to make her proud and be the best little Grace I can be! All I need is a forever home. My adoption fee is $400 and includes my spay, vaccinations, microchip, health certificate and transportation from Memphis to you. Please email for an adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Grace, a Chicago Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
