Carli's Story...
This beautiful girl is Carli. She is a Labrador mix, and we believe the other primary breed is Weimaraner. Carli is 2 years old. She has a fantastic temperament. She gets along well with other dogs and is very good with children. She is very affectionate and motivated to get positive attention, so she is highly trainable. She appears to be house trained and kennel trained. She needs some work walking on a leash, but even a little training so far in her foster home is making a difference. She also has the softest ears, and it is very therapeutic to rub them (for you and her). She would make an excellent companion dog, whether for an individual or a family. She would enjoy having a canine friend to play with, but with enough attention from her people and a few trips to the dog park, she would be equally content. If you think Carli might be the dog for you, please contact Rachel at 913-638-8637 or lashana@juno.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Carli, a Overland Park Labrador Retriever/Weimaraner dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Weimaraner for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Weimaraner dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Weimaraner breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Weimaraner rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
