Bella and Brody are a 6-7 year old Chihuahua mix brother and sister pair who need a new home. Their owner passed away; their home is being sold and they have nowhere to go. Bella weighs 10 lbs and Brody weighs 15 lbs. They're very sweet and are looking for a new loving home and family. They'd like to stay together, but can separate if needed. They're spayed and neutered, fully vaccinated, with no known medical conditions. They're about 50% potty trained; their owner used piddle pads and they also used a doggie door. We think if someone would take the time to let them stay outside for a bit then let them in or take them for walks they would catch on quickly. They know how to walk on a leash pretty well. They've not been crate trained. Both are good with other small dogs.
They've never been around children that we know of but we believe they would be ok around older children (12 yrs and up). They're used to sleeping in bed with their owner or on doggy pillow bed. They really love each other; it's so fun to watch them play and wrestle with each other. A home with an older person or couple who're looking for companionship and is home most of the day would be perfect for them. They get along well with cats, although they can get a little rough.
Bella loves to chase stuffed animal toys and then Brody chases her; it's adorable! They love to cuddle in bed at night with their human(s). Brody is a little leery of people at first, especially men, so a woman might be best. However, we think if he had a good role model (alfa-male) he would take to him just fine. My sister’s boyfriend is currently helping me take care of them and Brody likes him just fine.
