Elsa's Story...
I’m Elsa, an orphan destined to be a princess. I was found on the street eating whatever I could find, then rescued but set away in a cage until I could find my way to FOHA. Now that I’ve found love and human affection, I definitely don’t want to “Let It Go.” No! I want love 24x7. I love to be held, and I’ll shower you with kisses. While I love cat toys like any other young kitten, it’s really human affection that I desire most. I live in a FOHA foster home with other cats (princesses and princes or various ages), and I love all the feline friends I meet. I hope that my adoptive family will come soon to make me Princess Elsa of Arendelle…or Annandale…or Alexandria…or Arlington….or wherever you call home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Elsa, a Aldie Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
