My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Just beautiful, this boy is Lenny a beautiful Blonde lab retriever. Lenny is 4yrs old, and has not had the best of life. Lenny is blessed with a super soft shiny coat and soft brown eyes that just melt your heart.
LENNY`S story >>>> We were alerted to Lenny approx 6 months ago. Lenny was a stud boy for a breeder who was now past his sell by date and was going to be disposed of. not by re homing no he was going to be shot, Our volunteer quickly negotiated to take him and get him to safety. Lenny was collected and it was found to be that he had lived in deplorable conditions for his entire life he was kept outside had only the required Rabies vaccination and Heart worm prevention, Lenny was also covered in fleas. Our first call for Lenny was the vets to get him vaccinated remove all the fleas and have him neutered. After the vets Lenny went immediately to his foster mom where he has been taught and now enjoys home comforts many of us take for granted. We have had to work with Lenny and he has done so remarkably well over the past months. He enjoys playing with toys, the kiddie pool and the other dogs its just like he is now making up for his lost years as a pup. Lenny however does have an issue with men until you get to know him he does have a trust issue it certainly takes him a while to acclimate in a new surrounding. He dosent like loud noises or sticks. After a while he has come around to his foster daddy but it has been a gradual process,
We are now searching for a wonderful forever home for him. A home that will give him the stability and security and he needs Lenny will be an awesome with the right interaction and understanding,he deserves a family that will give him the love and the attention he deserves.
Lenny loves to snuggle up on the sofa, He is a little nervous on walks but is happy staying with you indoors or playing in the yard. Lenny is a calm boy a little wary when he is moved to a new environment but he warms to you once he is settled. He does have a little anxiety and dislikes thunderstorms. Lenny has been taught basic commands. He is good in the car a little anxious at first but settles down and loves to watch through the window. At night time he will sleep on a sofa or a bed. Lenny is housebroken, he will go to the door when he needs to go out to potty. He will come when called. He bonds well and responds to love Its so hard not to fall in love with him and give him a hug but at first you cant hug him until he is comfortable. Lenny is not a jumper he is calm but adores attention.
Lenny is neutered, current on all vaccinations and he is micro.chipped. He is happiest being in a family environment and enjoying freedom to relax in the home. We are looking to find Lenny a wonderful forever home where he can have stability and security in his life.
We are looking for a forever home that will cherish him and give him the love and attention and understanding he needs, A family that is really stable and can give him that forever home that means forever. Lenny is lovable, and he is good around Children. Lenny would make an excellent addition to an older family that has time to invest in him. I would say Lenny is calm and dosent need the excitement of a young family he would be perfect with an older couple that have time to spend with him and are at home most of the day. Lenny will blossom with the right interaction.
A home with a fenced in yard pool lanai or acreage where he can run play and relax is essential. He would do well with another dog as a companion he loves the females. Lenny gets along with other dogs but he is a quiet boy and dosent particularity care for chaos where there are too many dogs. But he does like to play with toys. Lenny is a big loveable boy weighing in at 75lb. There is no doubt Lennys transition may be difficult initially but once he is settled in the right environment he will be a happy loving boy.
Could you be the one to open up your heart and home, and make Lenny`s life complete if so you will be rewarded with a wonderful , loyal faithful friend that will bring you endless hours of pleasure.
