My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Romeo is a very handsome laid back boy looking for a forever home of his own. He is approximately 4 to 5 years old and has had a pretty rough life up until now. He has only been with us here at DFW GSR since mid November. He is in need of some TLC and needs to gain a good 15 lbs, but other than that building up the muscles that have been atrophied away by what we can only imagine is from being chained or crated continuously, he is in decent shape. A family to love him, groom him, feed him, spoil him and take him on walks is just what he's needing. He is particularly more fond of men than women. He is good with children, but it's more of a tolerant behavior than anything. He craves attention from the men in our rescue tending to follow them. He does well with his foster mommy and will curl up at her feet and occasionally steal her place on the bed. However if given a choice he follows the man on the property =)

Romeo does great with other dogs, females especially. He tolerates some male dogs, but not all. He is housebroken and crate trained and has great house manners. He is what we call the "fun police" if a few of the other dogs start wrestling too rough he trots over and barks at them to calm them down. Puppies completely irritate him and he barks at them until they settle down. He is a one of a kind and we love him dearly.
